Unfortunately, one in two of us will face cancer at some point in our life and the money raised will go towards helping individuals with cancer to live life as fully as they can.
Karen Oliver, Learning Centre Support Assistant, London South East Colleges, says: "Thank you so much to everyone involved in supporting our Coffee Morning and those who donated to such a wonderful cause - sadly, it's likely that we all know someone who is or has been affected by cancer."
Our Catering students baked many delicious cakes for the event and then they joined forces with Health & Social Care students to welcome customers and sell the cakes.
Lillian Martin, Senior Lecturer, Hospitality & BR6 Commercial, London South East Colleges, added: "It was a great experience for our catering students to get involved in the coffee morning. They really enjoyed it and were really proud to be involved in something so worthwhile.
"Feedback from staff and other students include comments about how polite and enthusiastic our students were. That was very nice to hear and I'm really pleased we all got involved - the students showed great teamwork."
